"Evan is the most reliable bass player I've ever had the pleasure to work with, both musically and personally. His impeccable work ethic, combined with great feel and and thorough preparation for each and every gig, make any musician's job so much easier. Playing with Evan was a lifetime growth experience."
Pierluigi Ciaccio (Freelance Drummer)
"Evan is a monster musician. When we decided to expand the line-up of Blackwater Jukebox, he was the only bass player we wanted. Evan joined prior to us having a drummer, and as a result was the primary architect of our rhythm section. You cannot ask for a better bass player. His groove and feel are fantastic. He is a great ensemble player, songwriter, arranger, and the most dependable of musicians - both on and off his instrument."
Geordie McElroy (Blackwater Jukebox)
"Chuds has always demonstrated lots of commitment and a real sharp work ethic, besides having an amazing tone and groove. He also sings his ass off! I would recommend him for any gig!"
Gabriel Maska (The Velvet Teaparty, Freelance Bassist)
"Too few people follow their dreams these days - even fewer can or will follow them far enough. Of the very few that actually have the talent and tenacity, the dream and the discipline to follow through, make it real, and become successful also become an inspiration to the people around them. I've known Evan for a super long time, so without going on and on about how good of a musician he is I'll just say... he is one of the very few." Aaron Griffin (Independent Artist)
Lesson Reviews
"My 12 year old son wanted to play bass and I found Evan through Thumbtack. Evan has been really great. He's clearly an accomplished bass player, with regular gigs in multiple groups. He's very laid back and friendly, but has deep knowledge of the bass. And importantly, he's very patient and supportive for my son, even when his busy schedule keeps him from practicing as much as we'd like. Evan's also been extremely accommodating of our hectic family schedule, helping find perfect times on a weekly basis. His rate is very reasonable, and we look forward to watching our son's playing evolve. Highly recommended for player's at any level." John Desjarlais
"The instructor is very patient and makes you feel comfortable. He does not overwhelm you with too much information to retain at one time as a beginning learner, which is very important in my opinion. I would recommend him to anyone looking to take lessons. I enjoy my lessons with him." Tinetra W.
"I meet him at his little studio for about half hour, went over my goals I had as a bass player no Charge. Im a 50 year old man who's been tring to learn bass. Have lots of books and computer aids like songster,Ultimate guitar pro,ect.. . He found my main weekness and started to work on it. In 4 weeks i have learned more than i have in 3 years. His lessons are fun and very informative. Highly recommend Evan Chudnow very professional. If you want to learn bass you need a teacher, books alone and computer aids don't cut it. I should have gotten myself a teacher 3 years ago instead of spend money on books and computer aid. There no substitution like having a good teacher and having the satisfaction of seeing Progress in such a short time.
Thanks Evan !!" Alex Avila
